D&D Easy uses material from the System Reference Document 5.2.1 (“SRD 5.2.1” / SRD_CC_v5.2.1), © Wizards of the Coast LLC, available at https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/srd-5.2.1. The Library’s Browse SRD rules feature covers spells, monsters, classes, equipment, and rules via the D&D 5e SRD API (2014 SRD, CC BY 4.0). The spell picker index is structured from the Open5e API (open5e.com, document wotc-srd), also under CC BY 4.0. The SRD is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY-4.0).

D&D Easy is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC. “Dungeons & Dragons” and related marks are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC.

✦ Two tiers of content

• SRD content (bundled). Bundled SRD pickers and the Library's SRD rules browser use CC BY 4.0 reference material only. The SRD browser (a Library feature) covers spells, monsters, classes, equipment, and rules via the D&D 5e SRD API (2014 SRD). Character pickers use a structured spell/class index from the same SRD lineage. Paywalled book content never ships in the app.
• Your content (private). Content from books you purchased (subclasses, spells, or lore not in the SRD) may be typed or imported by you for personal play — including character data you copy from D&D Beyond or upload as a JSON file you saved yourself. That material stays in your browser on this device — not in a shared server library other users can browse. D&D Easy never logs into D&D Beyond or uses your account cookies.

✦ What we never do

We do not sell access to non-SRD Wizards of the Coast content, and we do not host a shared repository of copyrighted book material.

That includes D&D Beyond: we do not log into your account, use your browser cookies, call hidden D&D Beyond APIs, or scrape character sheets. If you use characters built with purchased books, you bring the data yourself — by typing from your sheet or uploading a .json file you saved on your device. Conversion runs in your browser only.

✦ AI generation & privacy

When you generate text or images, your prompts are sent to our AI providers for that request only. We do not maintain a central database of your imported book text for other users to access.

Saved adventures, parties, and Virtual Table data live in your browser unless you export them yourself. See How to use for details.
